Very predictable, but since everyone is SO good and I personally didn’t know much about Russian Mobsters, it was a good watch. And co-starring Viggo’s wang, so there ya go.
This movie was really good and all, but mostly I’m pissed off that there weren’t any great movies about awkward teenagers when I personally was one. We had Ally Sheedy in The Breakfast Club, that was IT!!
I just now saw this (in the theater even!), and at the 2 hour point, I was all “everyone said how disturbing this movie was, but this is pretty straight-forward for Terry Gilliam, and it must be almost over…”. then a few minutes later i was all, “OH THERE IT IS. THERE’S THE GILLIAM. CAN’T SLEEP CLOWNS WILL EAT ME.”
still, love it. also, WTF – DeNiro?
STINKS.
ILM should spend their time sneaking into WETA instead of animating dick jokes.
i am ashamed that i bought the hype and sat down in the theater. this is one of the worst movies i have ever seen. *ptooie*
SUPER cute, in a good, clean fun kind of way, not at all annoying. Amy Adams is truly the bomb diggity, and i had no idea James Marsden was so FUNNY!
SHIT YEAH! i didn’t even know i liked westerns. Ben Foster is a complete genius – god, i hope he isn’t a scientologist.
exceptionally well-directed and well-filmed. maybe a bit too perfect, too “film school”, but done with skill and heart and better than most directors will ever be (much less for a debut).
hadn’t yet read the book, not looking to revisit my Harry Potter movie-going experiences; THOROUGHLY enjoyed the movie!! a good adaptation, or is ignorance truly bliss?
requires _extreme_ patience from the viewer – i couldn’t recommend it for most, frankly, and i don’t think it will work on the small screen.
a very quiet, powerful bit of character-studying that has stuck with me. genius, intense music, cinematography and acting.
